Jose Aguiar received the title of Master of Photography by AIPP

We are very proud of our commercial photographer Jose Aguiar for achieving the status of Master of Photography by the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.

This is what is required to be an Accredited professional photographer in Australia:

  1. Demonstrate that they have been practicing for a minimum of 2 years
  2. Demonstrate that they have satisfied clients and suppliers by providing written references
  3. Demonstrate that they comply with all legal, ethical and moral business requirements to practice as a professional in Australia
  4. Demonstrate that their photographic skills are of a “Professional Standard”
  5. Agree to have a portfolio of their work, assessed by experienced AIPP image assessors
  6. Achieve the required portfolio assessment standard.
  7. Agree to continue their professional development through the AIPP CPD program, maintaining up to date skills and business practices each year.

After the submission of your professional work to AIPP and being accepted as an Accredited member, the photographer is allowed to enter in the Australian Professional Photography Awards.

This is a yearly national photography competition where each accredited member can submit up to 4 prints per year to be judged. If the print receives an award, the photographer receives a merit point.

The professional receives the following designations based on the number of merit points he/she has received in a period of time.

Associate – AAIPP
(Yellow)
To achieve the designation of Associate, Full Accredited members of the AIPP need to earn 5 merit points within 4 consecutive years by entering the Australian Professional Photography Awards (APPA)
Master – M.Photog
(Red)
To achieve the designation of Master of Photography, Full Accredited members of the AIPP need to earn a further 10 full merit points within 5 consecutive years after achieving the Associate designation.

This title is very hard to achieve and we are very proud of Jose’s achievements and hard work.

Jose has received 2 gold awards and 11 silver awards.
